This project was cut short do to COVID, so the only thing that was finished was a “polished prototype”. Our plan was to create a hollow snowman with a clear outer layer with lights strung down the middle, but do to schedule shifts our plan changed into a snowman with a hollow interior surrounded by see though snowflakes.
The process behind the project was:
- Create exterior on illustrator
- Laser cut wood
- 3D modal and print nose
- Sew hat
- Paint wood
- Assemble
The Good
- The first project I have done that had any sewing involved
- The prototype looks very well for the time given
- I feel like we fully accomplished our goal
The Bad
- Time was cut short so there is only a prototype
- Painting was rushed because it was our final day
Materials:
- Paint
- Laser wood
- Filament
- Buttons
- Hot glue
