Inspiration
For this project there were relatively few guidelines. There was no budget or limits on what was considered a house. So, I decided that an Ideal hurricane proof home would be both elevated and underground. The solution to this was to simply have an underground home on inside of an elevated hill. This would allow the home to be safe from floods whilst still having the earth to protect itself from any flying debris. I originally

This was the assemble process of my house: Shell of bottom floor, Inner bottom floor, escape hatch, second floor shell, second floor inners, attach pieces with escape hatch. All of this was done scaled down from the original plans. I used hot-glue and friction in order to hold the cardboard pieces together. This project turned out very well due to my focus whilst I was at home. This was a virtual project so the hardest part was staying on task whilst working from home. If I was to do something better, I probably would have made a shed for a garage rather than making a tunnel out of a hill.
